Cycling for SSAFA - A Chance to Give Back...

My Story

With a little over 34 years of military service behind me, I felt it was time to look forward and put something back in the pot for SSAFA - a truly outstanding charity and one which has provided steadfast support to my tri-service colleagues and families for many years.

Having received support from SSAFA myself and seen the difference it has made to some of my close friends, I hope you will help me with a series of challenges that I have set myself, to raise funds for SSAFA and reciprocate at least some of their support.

The events I have planned all involve cycling at various locations across the UK and include some well known sites that are home to a few tri-service and Boeing units, with a common theme of representing BRAVO along the way. To date, I have cycled over 5000 miles which include the RAF Odiham, Benson and Lossiemouth peri-tracks, RAF Hendon Museum to RAF Odiham via Wembley Statium, Twickenham and Battle of Brittain Memorials, London to Brighton, Isle of Wight plus local and national sprint races as conditions allow. 2022 has brought some new challenges including riding to the Tower of London, the SSAFA 13 Bridges plus many more.  My biggest challenge for 2023 will be a US east coast SSAFA cycle planned for October!

Please help as best you can by donating whatever you can manage!  Thanks for your support!
